Fantasy World è nata in un momento buio della mia vita, un momento in cui tutto andava male. Dopo aver toccato il fondo mi sono rialzato e ho deciso che non mi sarei mai più trovato in una situazione simile. Fantasy World è nata da quella determinazione. Ma senza le persone che mi sono state vicine – dai familiari ai soci ai primi partner che mi hanno dato fiducia, e che mi hanno sostenuto, non ce l’avrei mai fatta.
Da cameriere ad imprenditore di successo: la tua storia potrebbe essere riassunta in questo modo.
Era 1999, facevo il cameriere e quando venivano i tecnici dell’assistenza delle macchine da gioco che erano nel locale iniziavo a fare un sacco di domande su quelle apparecchiature e sul loro funzionamento. Iniziai ad informarmi su come si potessero noleggiare queste macchinette, allora il mondo non era tutto racchiuso in un telefono quindi non fu facile trovare subito quello che stavo cercando ma alla fine ci riuscii. Iniziai a installare distributori di gadget e altri giochi da bar per bambini. E continuai per circa un anno con queste macchine.
Oggi la squadra di Fantasy è composta da quasi venti dipendenti ma all’inizio non è stato così.
Per i primi cinque, sei anni ricoprii tutte le figure che oggi sono affidate a personale qualificato: ero il tecnico che interveniva la domenica o gli altri giorni di festa quando veniva segnalato un problema, ero il commerciale in cerca di nuovi clienti, ero colui che curava le pratiche amministrative. Poi arrivò il primo dipendente, la prima sede dedicata alle slot machine di Oliveto Citra.
La tua storia è una bellissima metafora di rinascita, un bellissimo messaggio pieno di speranza.
Se non ci avessi creduto veramente, mi sarei arreso al primo no, e ne ho ricevuti tanti. Ma avevo la determinazione di cambiare la mia vita e così ci ho creduto e sono andato avanti. Non bisogna mai arrendersi, bisogna crederci e lottare per realizzare i propri sogni.
